A motorcyclist has been rushed to hospital with serious injuries after an accident on the outskirts of Burnham-On-Sea on Friday (December 2nd).
The B3140 into Burnham from the M5 motorway roundabout was closed for three hours after the collision between a motorbike and a car.
Police officers and ambulance crews were sent to the scene and a male motorcyclist was taken to hospital.
Police spokeswoman Cath Foster told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “Police were called to the B3140 at 2.25pm after a motorbike and a car collided.”
“The motorcyclist was taken to hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries.”
“The road was closed for several hours while the investigation into the crash started and a quantity of oil was removed from the roadway.”
