A woman was freed from a two-vehicle crash near Burnham-On-Sea on Sunday afternoon (January 12th) which led to a main road being temporarily closed for over two hours.
The collision happened at 12.50pm on the A370 Lympsham Road, prompting police to shut the busy route.
Fire crews from Burnham-On-Sea and Weston-super-Mare were called to the scene. They cut her free from the vehicle using specialist hydraulic equipment.
The casualty, suffering from lower leg injures, was conveyed to hospital by ambulance.
Fire crews made the vehicles safe and left the incident in the hands of the police, who re-opened the road in the mid-afternoon.
