Two motorists were hurt and one was taken to hospital following a collision in Highbridge on Friday morning (November 1st).
Police, fire and the ambulance service were called to Bennett Road, Highbridge on the Isleport Business Park just before 11.15am, as pictured here.
A fire spokesman said: “One fire appliance from Burnham-On-Sea and one from Bridgwater were sent to a report of a road traffic collision.”
“On arrival, crews confirmed that the incident involved two vehicles and that one male person was still within one of the vehicles. Fire crews used hydraulic cutting equipment to remove one of the car doors.”
“This enabled Paramedics and Fire crews to extricate the casualty onto a stretcher, he was then taken to hospital by ambulance. The vehicles were also made safe. ”
A spokesman for South Western Ambulance Service told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “South Western Ambulance Service was called at around 11.15am about a two-vehicle collision on Bennett Road, Highbridge. Our land ambulance crews treated two patients at the scene and conveyed one of them to hospital for further care.”
Police diverted traffic around the scene while emergency services were on scene.
