Burnham and Highbridge’s Mayor and Mayoress opened a fundraising Christmas craft fair on Saturday morning (November 19th).

The fair, held at Highbridge Community Centre in Market Street, was attended by over 30 local traders and craft makers from across the area.

Cllrs Michael and Maria Clarke cut a ribbon to open the event, which was raising funds for Burnham-based Music For The Memory.

Music For The Memory is an independent group, not a charity, with more than 60 members.

It is a local independent self-funding, not-for-profit group run by dedicated volunteers.

The group enables people living with Dementia or memory loss to meet in a relaxed, non-medical environment, to perform a variety of musical based activities.
