Craft fayre set to be held this weekend at local garden centre

-

Craft enthusiasts from across Somerset will be gathering at a charity craft fayre taking place at a garden centre Brent Knoll this weekend.

The event will take place at Sanders Garden World in Brent Knoll on Saturday, February 13th and Sunday, February 14th to raise money for Freewheelers Emergency Voluntary Service, which is one of the garden centre’s charities of the year.

Volunteer for the charity, Allan Roberts, who is organising the event, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We hope that as many people as possible will join us for what promises to be a fun day out for all the family.”

“We held a craft fayre at the garden centre last December to help raise funds and awareness of the service Freewheelers EVS provides and it was a great success. We are delighted to be holding another event during Valentine’s weekend.”

“Lots of crafters have already signed up for the fayre. Some of the exhibitors will also be bringing their tools and materials so that they can demonstrate their skill to visitors.”

Visitors will also be able to have a portrait of a person or animal painted if they bring a photograph along on the day. A portrait of one person or an animal will cost £10 and double portraits will cost £20.

The fayre at Garden World will take place on both days from 10am until 4pm.
Freewheelers EVS is a registered charity that transports items on specially adapted motorcycles.
