Burnham-On-Sea’s firefighters were called to rescue a cow stuck in a river in the early hours of this morning (Tuesday, April 16th).
One fire appliance from Burnham-On-Sea and a specialist rescue team from Bridgwater attended the incident in the village of Mark.
“Crews liaised with the Environment Agency and confirmed that one cow was stuck up to its head and shoulders in the water approximately one metre from the bank,” a spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
The fire crews rescued the cow using dry suits, water safety gear and rescue lines and left the cow in the care of its owner.
