Wet and windy weather failed to dampen spirits at a special Easter family fun day at Burnham-On-Sea’s Marine Cove Gardens on Saturday (26th March).
Despite the poor weather, dozens of families attended the Easter-themed event where lots of free activities, including an Easter egg hunt, bonnets parade, craft activities and balloon modelling were available.
Community Gardener, Jacqui Strong, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We were really pleased with the turnout given the weather – we had over 60 children who had a super time.”
After the event, the volunteers and Community Gardener remained in the seafront gardens to complete some Spring maintenance.
A health walk will take place on Wednesday 30th March starting at 10am from Marine Cove. The route will take in a circular walk to Apex Park incorporating The Esplanade, River Brue and Marine Drive. Further walks will take place on 27th April and 25th May, also leaving at 10am.
