Burnham-On-Sea’s Marine Cove gardens will be hosting a free ‘Carols in the Cove’ event this Saturday (6th December).
The Friends of Marine Cove and Sedgemoor District Council are organising the festive event, which will take place between 2.30pm and 4pm.
The children of St Joseph’s School will be accompanying The King Alfred Youth Brass Band under the direction of Sarah Alsop from 3pm.
There will also be a stocking hunt in the gardens, with free sweets for the children who take part as well as free mulled wine for the adults.
A raffle will also be held to raise funds for future activities in the garden.
Jacqui Strong, Sedgemoor’s Community Gardener, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We welcome more singers coming along and stretching their vocal chords on the day.”
“Song sheets will be available, so everyone can join in the sing-song. Last year’s Christmas event was really well attended and we hope to make this year’s better than ever. Come along and join in this traditional festive event.”
