‘Counterfeit clothing’ seized in raid on Brean car boot sale

Trading Standards officers and police have swooped on a car boot sale in Brean and seized a large quantity of clothing.

Suspected counterfeit items were taken away from a stall at the outdoor market in the village’s Warren Farm Holiday Park.

A Trading Standards spokeswoman confirmed to Burnham-On-Sea.com: “Trading Standards Officers attended the market with officers from Avon and Somerset Police. A quantity of suspected counterfeit clothing was seized and the matter is now under investigation.”

It’s understood that the source of the clothing is being investigated to assess whether further items are being sold in the area.
