Double celebration for Burnham-On-Sea town centre restaurant

-

The owners of a Burnham-On-Sea restaurant are enjoying a double celebration this week after re-opening their business following a £7,000 refurbishment and receiving a top accolade.

The interior of the Cottage Cafe in College Street has been given a complete overhaul by owners Ricky Baillie and Gemma Collins, pictured.

Ricky told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “The restaurant has been given a fresh, new look. We’ve redecorated it, adding new furniture and introducing new downstairs toilet facilities. The changes have already been welcomed with positive feedback from customers.”

The cafe has also received a five star rating in Sedgemoor District Council’s food hygiene ratings scheme, which enables customers to see how food sellers across the district comply with hygiene regulations.

“We’re delighted to have got a maximum five star rating,” said Ricky. “It’s a great reward for all the work that’s been put in.”

The Cottage Cafe has also introduced a new menu. In addition to normal daytime opening, it is also open for a la carte diners on Friday and Saturday evenings.
