The coroner has this week confirmed the name of a 35-year-old local man who sadly died in a crash on the A38Â at Brent Knoll last month.
Jeffrey David Smith of Highbridge was walking along the A38 when he was struck by a vehicle on Tuesday September 17th at 4.05am, as reported here.
The inquest into Mr Smith’s death has been adjourned so the circumstances can be investigated and statements and reports obtained.
A Police spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “The pedestrian was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. Anyone with any information – especially anyone who saw someone walking in the area in the early hours or anything else which could help the police investigation should get in touch.”
