Coronation Street memorabilia up for grabs in aid of Highbridge charity

-

A piece of Coronation Street memorabilia is being sold this week to raise money for a Highbridge-based children’s charity.

“When we contacted Granada Television in Manchester, we were astounded when we received an item of clothing worn by Leanne Battersby – actress Jane Danson – and an authenticity certificate to prove it is the real McCoy,” said Margaret McDowell, spokeswoman for the National Blind Childrens Society.

“We are now giving ardent followers of Coronation Street the chance to place a bid by telephone.”

“The highest bid received by 14th March will become the proud owner of a prized piece of Corrie memorabilia.”

“The charity has already received one bid of £20, so bids over this amount will be accepted.”

The money raised will help the National Blind Childrens Society support children who are blind and partially sighted to achieve their educational and recreational goals.

If you would like to place a bid, contact Margaret on 01278 764 753 or by email at margaret.mcdowell@nbcs.org.uk
