Coronation Crowns Trail contest starts in Burnham and Highbridge shops

-

30 colourful crowns are on display in shop windows in Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge as part of a special competition to mark King Charles’ Coronation.

Burnham Chamber of Trade, with the support of the Town Council, Create You and Our Highbridge, has launched the Coronation Crowns Trail which runs for two weeks from April 29th-May 13th.

Families are being encouraged to explore the two town centres by finding the crowns in shop windows – and writing the unique logo on each crown and window poster onto the entry form – to be in with a chance of winning £50 cash from the Chamber of Trade or two runners-up prizes.

The crowns have been produced by youngsters over several weeks at Create You in Highbridge, pictured above.

Owner Sarah Berryman says: “I’m very proud of the children – they have done a super job and are excited to see the crowns in shop windows for the trail.”

A Chamber of Trade spokesman adds: “Burnham and Highbridge have a great range of shops and businesses – and this competition encourages people into the town centres to explore them.”

“We hope the trail will attract more families in over the Coronation period. The winner will be announced soon after.”

Some shops have shutters obscuring the posters when they are closed, so those taking part should walk the trail when shops are open.
