Discount retail chain The Works has this week confirmed that it will be opening a new store in Burnham-On-Sea town centre this summer.
The Works – which sells books, art and craft materials, gifts, toys, games and stationery – has over 500 stores across the United Kingdom and Ireland.
Speaking to Burnham-On-Sea.com, a spokeswoman for The Works has confirmed that the new store should “be moving in some time in August.”
It is this premises in Burnham’s High Street that is currently vacant which looks set to become the new store.
Workmen have been preparing the property in during recent weeks, decorating the interior and preparing it for retail use.
The unit was previously occupied by New Look, which closed its store in September 2018, as Burnham-On-Sea.com reported at the time.
