Burnham-On-Sea choirs to team up for charity Christmas concert

-

Several local choirs are set to perform a Christmas concert in aid of a local charity in December.

The Siobhan Johnson Singers and local choirs Burnham Youth Choir and Burnham on Song will be presenting their annual ‘Carols by Candlelight’ concert at St Andrew’s Church on Saturday 3rd December at 7pm.

Both choirs will be filling the church with their festive voices in aid of ‘In Charley’s Memory.’

Burham Youth Choir will be harmonising their voices with a moving version of ‘When a Child is Born’ and introducing their first ever ‘Christmas Medley Mash Up’ of several Christmas favourites mixed into one.

Burnham On Song will join in the festivities with a beautiful arrangement of ‘O Holy Night’ and a moving version of Andrea Bocelli and Celine Dion’s ‘The Prayer,’ half in English and Italian, with guest soloist Hannah Murdoch enhancing this truly breathtaking song.

As last year, there will be a time for reflection to light a candle in memory of a loved one and then finishing off with Burnham Youth Choir continuing the tradition of leading the whole congregation and performers with the ever popular ‘Twelve Days of Christmas’ featuring ‘George Davies’.

Tickets are available from The Crafty Tea Cup in Burnham-On-Sea or from the offices of ‘In Charley’s Memory’ situated in Manor Gardens, or on the door priced at £3.00 (under 5’s free.)
