Burnham-On-Sea’s Mayor said he was “hugely impressed” by the wide range of groups at the town’s Community Centre when he visited its open day earlier this week.
Mayor Bill Hancock, Mayoress Frances Hancock and Town Crier Alistair Murray attended the event, held for local people to find out more about the centre’s activities.
The centre in Burnham-On-Sea’s Berrow Road held a cream tea, a history display and talk and a fun session of prize bingo.
The Mayor told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “I have been hugely impressed at the variety of the activities available at the community centre.”
“It was great to meet some of the groups and the volunteers who keep it all running so well.”
