Hundreds of pounds was raised towards the ongoing refurbishment of Burnham-On-Sea Community Centre at the weekend when two successful fundraising events were held.
A coffee morning was held in the building on Saturday, followed by a comedy event called a ‘Pleasant Sunday Afternoon’ the following day.
“It’s been a good weekend – we had a good turnout for both events and hope to have raised several hundred pounds towards the cost of refurbishing the east side of the building,” Friends of Burnham Community Centre’s Chairman Ken Hindle told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
