An evening of smart, modern comedy comes to Burnham-On-Sea’s Princess Theatre this Thursday (July 21st).
Matthew Fong and Nick Banks will perform ‘An English Man, A China Man And A Joker Walk Into A Bar’.
The duo will give take the audience through each of their own diverse perspectives of identity in modern life.
“Drawing from stories, observations and general bad decisions they have experienced on their journey so far; these three intrepid companions will take you through all the highs and lows,” said a spokesman.
“From army recruitment to deadpan delights, the pressures of being bi-lingual and just downright confusion in day to day living; this show aims to close the gap on cultural diversity and finally answer that age old question… What really does happen when an Englishman, Chinaman & A Joker Walk Into A Bar?”
Matt Fong is described as “a witty, whimsical, story-teller whose material is as sharp and diverse as his sarcasm”. He has been performing professionally for just over 6 years and offers a great mix of light-hearted, politically correct humour.
Nick Banks is the token Englishman. “Born in Plymouth, he was lost at an early age to be raised up north by a tribe of Monkey-hangers. He has a sickly sweet, dark humour that will possibly make your nan blush but, don’t panic! Just spray him with a little water and he will be sure to calm down.”
For the show, a guest ‘Joker’ will be hosting. Each venue will have an MC that has extensive experience on the comedy circuit to ensure the smooth running of the night.
Genius Events presents the show this Thursday July 21st at 8.00pm. Tickets, priced at £10, are available at The Princess on 01278 784464 and online.
