Colourful paintings of Burnham-On-Sea’s iconic lighthouse have been created by a talented online group of local art enthusiasts as a means of boosting creativity and keeping active during the Coronavirus lockdown.
Highbridge-based ‘Create You‘ has been running a series of online virtual art groups and several members chose the famous beach lighthouse as the subject.
“The picture was created as a step-by-step paint-along so all abilities could learn and enjoy the process – and, as you can see, everyone excelled themselves and created some beautiful pieces of art work,” said Create You’s Leila Browning, pictured below.
The talented group includes Leila, Jenny Fox, Linda Snook, Gail Wheeler, Teresa Brown, Jennifer Stamps and Pat Fincher.
Leila adds: “We run our creative community where everyone can get involved, along with our online gallery where we can celebrate all of our lockdown art.”
“If anyone would like to join any virtual groups kids and adults then just message through the Create You Facebook page and we also offer one on one virtual art lessons.”
