Several locations across the Burnham-On-Sea area are holding fundraising coffee mornings as part of the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning this week.
The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is Macmillan Cancer Support’s flagship event. Last year, 51,000 people signed up to the coffee morning across the UK, raising over £10million for the charity, which improves the lives of people affected by cancer, providing practical, medical, emotional and financial support.
The Towans Residential Home in Burnham will be holding a coffee/tea afternoon on Friday 25th September from 2pm-4pm in aid of Macmillan.
And a Macmillan Coffee Morning is being held on Friday 25th September from 10am to noon at Berrow Village Hall with a variety of stalls selling raffles and crafts.
Brean Play is also joining in the fundraiser, with a coffee morning on Friday. Normal Brean Play admission fees apply, but with donations for coffee and cake sales and games to Macmillan.
The fun continues on Saturday 26th at Daintea Tea Rooms in Burnham’s Cross Street with a Bake and Buy sale and lots more fundraising.
And from 10am-12pm at East Huntspill Village Hall when a coffee morning will be held featuring Micky mouse from 10am!
