Take aim… fire! Archers target in on Berrow for annual tournament
Archery experts from across Somerset gathered in Berrow, near Burnham-On-Sea, on Sunday (July 23rd) to compete in the 20th summer tournament held by the Coastal Archers group.
The popular event attracted more than 20 experts to Berrow’s Red Row Playing Fields to compete in several contests over 140 yards and 180 yards.
Four different types of bow were used by participants in the event, who fired their arrows at flags in the ground at one side of the playing field.
Tournament secretary Marion Kerby of the Coastal Archers group told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We’ve had a good turnout here today and the weather’s certainly been with us.”
