Villagers in Berrow are to hold another two protest marches as part of their long-running campaign to get a pavement introduced along Coast Road.
Berrow’s Local Action Team has announced protests on Saturday 26th September and Saturday 24th October, both starting 11am at Berrow Church.
The last march, pictured here in May, caused huge disruption to motorists on one of the area’s busiest weekends of the year.
The marches are being held amid fresh hopes that Somerset County Council will re-consider its decision not to introduce a pavement along the busy road.
“A new County Council has been elected and much background work has been undertaken by members of the Berrow Local Action Team over the summer period,” Chairman Ken May told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
“Two new walks are therefore being planned and we hope for our biggest-ever turnout.”
Burnham’s MP, David Heathcoat-Amory, has previously given his support to the campaign.
