A new Co-Op store on the outskirts of Burnham-On-Sea has opened.
The site of the former Berrow Inn in Berrow Road has been transformed into the new convenience store, which opened on Wednesday (April 12th).
The new store is open daily from 7am-11pm. The new food store gave a £500 donation to the RNLI at its opening.
Planning consent was granted last year for the store by Sedgemoor District Council, allowing the former pub site to become a store with three houses at the rear overlooking the golf course.
Barry Kew, Chairman of Berrow Parish Council, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “It’s good to see the progress – the giant heap of rubble from the pub was an eyesore for over year and most residents are pleased that the work is starting.”
