A brand new £1.6m health club is set to open in Burnham-On-Sea next Saturday (January 31st).
Home Farm’s new health club, called Fusion Leisure, will be creating ten new jobs and features a 15 metre swimming pool plus a jacuzzi, sauna and steam room.
It also offers an upstairs fitness suite with running machines and other gym equipment in a glass-walled area overlooking the pool, plus a tanning area and Starbucks coffee shop.
Managing Director Geoff Atkinson, pictured, gave Burnham-On-Sea.com a look inside the building this week as the final preparations were being made.
“All the finishing touches are being made in readiness for the opening and we’re confident everything will be in place,” he said.
“There has already been a lot of interest from potential members and will be offering modern facilities not available elsewhere in the district.”
A range of memberships are being offered to the general public, from full memberships at £39.50 per month, to swimming and spa memberships from £19.50 per month. Children will not be allowed in the building after 5pm. For more details, call 01278 788 888.
Burnham-On-Sea.com was first to report plans to build the two-storey health club in December 2007.
