A large group of more than 20 travellers moved away from a field opposite Burnham-On-Sea’s Tesco store on Wednesday evening (August 14th) after two days camped there.
The convoy of caravans and towing vehicles had first pitched up on Monday evening, prompting the field owner to begin the legal process to get them moved.
A trail of rubbish was left in the field, as pictured here, and a clean-up is now underway.
The travellers had first parked outside the ‘Works 22’ factory units in Bennett Road over last weekend but moved from there to Burnham on Monday following the threat of legal action.
The owner of the Highbridge factory units has parked several lorries across the entrances to secure its car park, as pictured below.
