Dozens of classic vehicles will gather at Brent Knoll’s Sanders Garden World this weekend (June 18th and 19th) for its eighth annual Vintage and Classic Vehicle Display.
The event, which coincides with Father’s Day, will take place from 10am until approximately 3pm on both days.
Peter Burks, General Manager of the garden centre, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We are really looking forward to hosting the Vintage and Classic Vehicle Display again this year. This is the eighth year we’ve held the event and it has always been a great success.”
“This year we are hoping to have even more exhibitors than ever at the garden centre displaying their vehicles.”
“Any vintage and classic vehicle owners are being invited to attend and displaying at the event is free of charge.”
Allan Roberts from Freewheelers Emergency Voluntary Service (Freewheelers EVS) is organising the event to help raise money for the charity.
He added: “We already have lots of exhibitors signed up but we still have room for more. Anyone interested in exhibiting a vehicle at the event can call me on 01278 789145 for further details.”
Allan and some of the volunteers from the charity will also be at the garden centre during the weekend displaying some of their motorbikes, which are used to transport items such as blood, X-Rays, vital instruments and drugs. Entry to the event is free, although people are encouraged to donate to Freewheelers.
The Wrinkly Rappers, a music group from Burnham, will also entertain the crowds with a performance at 2pm on both days.
