Classic car enthusiasts flock to Brent Knoll show

-

Crowds of motor vehicle enthusiasts attended a two-day special event in Brent Knoll over the weekend.

Sanders Garden World hosted a Vintage and Classic Vehicle Display on Saturday and Sunday (June 19th and 20th) to raise money for Freewheelers Emergency Voluntary Service (Freewheelers EVS).

Peter Burks, General Manager of the garden centre, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We are delighted that the display was such a great success. More than 150 exhibitors attended and while entry was free, people could donate money to Freewheelers, which is one of our charities of the year.”

The event raised more than £300 for the organisation and they managed to sign up two new recruits.

The organisation’s Allan Roberts and some of the charity’s volunteers were also at the garden centre during the weekend, displaying some of their motorbikes, which are used to transport items such as blood, X-Rays, vital instruments and drugs.

People had traveled from as far as Birmingham, Cornwall and Essex to see the variety of vintage, vetren and classic vehicles.
