Dozens of Burnham and Highbridge Civic Awards winners gathered together at a special tea party to mark the 20th anniversary of the awards on Monday afternoon (February 18th).
The event, organised by Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge Town Council, also saw the unveiling of a brand new Honours Board by Mayor Pauline Pollard and Deputy Mayor Neville Jones which lists the names of every winner from the last 20 years.
The gathering of Civic Award winners was held in Highbridge Community Hall. Burnham-On-Sea.com reported last year how the council had commissioned a Board of Honour listing the names of all Civic Award winners which was shown for the first time at the Mayor’s Civic Service last September and will be hung in the council offices in Jaycroft Road.
