Two men plead not guilty over murder of Burnham man Joseph Pearce

Two men charged with murder following the death of Burnham-On-Sea man Joseph Pearce appeared in court on Friday (August 25th).

Dominic Lacey, 21, of Newham Place in Patchway, Bristol and James Hobbs, 43, of Churchill Close in Burnham-On-Sea appeared in Exeter Crown Court where they entered a joint not guilty plea.

A murder probe was launched after the death in Burnham-On-Sea’s Churchill Close, just off Worston Lane, on July 10th where Joseph Pearce, 40, died from a single stab wound.

The two men – Lacey and Hobbs – were remanded in custody and were refused bail.

The trial is scheduled to be held at Exeter Crown Court on January 29th, 2018.
