Churchfield School pupils join bulb planting session at Apex Park in Highbridge

-

Spring was on the minds of this group of young Highbridge residents as they planted hundreds of bulbs this week.

Pupils from Churchfield School have helped members of The Friends Of Apex Park to plant bulbs and saplings in the Highbridge park.

“The Friends of Apex Park were joined by approximately 60 pupils from Churchfield Primary School,” said a spokesman.

“They were all very enthusiastic, well-behaved and enjoyed bulb planting, sowing seeds and identifying wildlife in the park.”

“Hundreds of bulbs were planted to keep Apex looking beautiful year after year, whilst others enjoyed sowing rare wildflower seeds as part of the Back from the Brink project.”

If you’re interested in becoming a Friend of Apex Park, head along to the next meeting on Wednesday 4th December at 2pm in the park office to find out more.
