Highbridge has once again been brought to a standstill this week as disruptive roadworks returned.
Church Street ground to a halt, as pictured here, as major work to replace gas mains re-started on Monday (April 20th) after a two week break over Easter.
The work to replace gas mains along Church Street began in January and has caused endless queues of traffic and also hit the trade of local businesses.
Burnham-On-Sea.com reported earlier this month how businesses in Church Street had been left fuming after being offered ‘compensation’ of just a few pounds as part of a temporary reduction in the Rateable Value of properties.
The roadworks are scheduled to finally be completed next month.
