New Year rubbish collection in Burnham and Highbridge running one day later than normal

-

Rubbish collections in Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge will run one day later than normal this week for the New Year holiday period.

Somerset Waste Partnership’s revised schedule of rubbish collections for the holiday period is shown below for the Burnham area.

There are also no garden waste collections from 24th December – 4th January. These will resume on 7th January. Revised days also apply for assisted and clinical waste collections.

Highbridge recycling centre will follow usual opening hours, except that it will close at 4pm on 31st December and 1st January.

Fresh Christmas trees can either be used as home compost or be taken to a recycling centre or, if you have a garden waste subscription, undecorated trees under 6ft can go out for collection with usual garden waste collections from 7th January.  As a last resort, you can send your tree to landfill by placing it next to your rubbish bin on your usual collection day between 7-18 January 2019.
