A busy weekend of Christmas events is scheduled to take place in the Burnham-On-Sea area this weekend. We’ve highlighted some of the key events below:
Burnham’s annual Jingle Run takes place on the town’s seafront on Sunday (December 21st) when families are welcome to join in, dressed in festive costumes. Entries are welcome up until 10am at Burnham Swimming Pool with places costing £8 for the five mile run and £5 for the one mile run. The event starts at 10.30am on the North Esplanade.
BARB Search & Rescue on Burnham seafront is holding its popular annual Santa’s Grotto weekend – with the VIP guest in situ on Sunday December 21st from 10am-4pm. A must visit for families! Read more here.
Burnham and Highbridge Band will be performing their Christmas concert at The Princess Theatre and Arts Centre in Burnham on Sunday December 21st at 7.45pm. Tickets cost £6/£5 and are available from the theatre.
Burnham’s Christmas Tree Festival continues at St Andrew’s Church. The decorated tress and crib scene are on show to the public from 10am-4pm each day until the Saturday after Christmas.
On Sunday December 21st, Burnham’s St Andrew’s Church is holding a Solstice Service at 4pm to mark the longest day, and then at 6.30pm the church holds Burnham’s official Carol Service for the community when all will be welcome to join in and celebrate Christmas.
Santa will be visiting a model railway station near Burnham-On-Sea to take families on festive train rides on Sunday. West Huntspill Railway is holding a series of ‘Santa Trains’ with plenty of Christmas cheer from 12-4pm on Sunday December 21st. Read more here.
‘Carols In The Park by Candlelight’ will be held in the town’s Manor Gardens on Sunday (December 21st) by Burnham Community Church from 4.30pm-5.30pm. Read more here.
