A group of brave fundraisers in Burnham-On-Sea will dash into the sea during a sponsored dip on the town’s beach on the first day of 2012.
Local charity BARB will benefit from the event, which is scheduled to start at 12 noon on Sunday (January 1st) next to Burnham’s jetty.
Rescue hovercraft charity BARB (Burnham Area Rescue Boat) will benefit from the sponsored splash.
“This is a unique opportunity to work off the excesses of Christmas and raise money for good causes,” one of the organisers told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
“We’ve already had interest from people wanting to take part and welcome further participants and spectators on the day.”
Entry forms are available now from Burnham barber shop Hair Of The Dog in Burnham High Street, which is one of the supporting businesses.
