Burnham and Highbridge Choral Society held a concert on Saturday evening (March 3rd) as part of the BBC’s nationwide Music Nation project.
35 members of the group sang an Olympics-themed programme of music at Burnham Holiday Village’s Owners Party Evening, attended by more than 200 people.
The music included a special version of the Chariots Of Fire theme and Space Odyssey.
“This was Burnham’s contribution to the BBC’s Music Nation weekend which leads up to the London 2012 Festival, the finale of the Cultural Olympiad,” the society’s Jane Lee told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
Music Nation is a live music project overseen by the BBC. From Cornwall to the Shetland Isles and Belfast to Birmingham, Music Nation is a collaboration of the UK’s orchestral and music-making communities – more details are available here.
