Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge Choral Society to hold Spring concert

Tickets are on sale for Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge Choral Society’s annual Spring Concert, taking place this weekend.

The choir will be featuring Old American Folk Songs by Aaron Copland, and the suite of English folk songs “The Sprig of Thyme” by John Rutter.

It will be held at St Andrew’s Church on Saturday 28th April at 7.30pm.

The choir are also going to take this opportunity to perform other folk songs by Grainger, Morley, and Stanford.

The choir will be joined by a small orchestra of 15 professional musicians, and as usual, will be directed by Nicholas Bromilow.

Tickets are £8 and £4 for children, they are available from: The Crafty Teacup, Burnham-on-Sea, also from choir members. Tickets may be purchased at the door, but best to get them early to avoid any disappointment.

In the Choral Summer Term, the choir will be taking part in a joint venture with Redland Green Choir, and Long Ashton Orchestra directed by Nicholas Bromilow, to perform Beethoven’s Choral Symphony, Geistliches Lied and Schicksalslied by Brahms on Saturday 14th July 2018 at 7.30pm, Clifton Cathedral, Pembroke Road, Bristol.
