An evening of popular choral music will be performed by Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge Choral Society on Saturday (May 5th) when the group holds its annual Spring concert.
The event will be performed in St John’s Church, Highbridge from 7.30pm and will include John Rutter’s Requiem.
“This year the concert is full of old favourites. We are also very lucky to have a guest soloist, Mary Morgan, organist John Bodiley and an orchestral ensemble,” the group’s Julie Skinner told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
“Our main piece, John Rutter’s Requiem, is always very well received. Alongside this we will be singing Panis Angelicus, Cantique de Jean Racine, Mozart’s Dominum Laudate and Vivaldi’s Gloria among others.”
Tickets, priced at £7.50, are available on the door, or by calling 01278 783542.
New choir members are being sought and newcomers are welcome at the group’s rehearsals on Thursday evenings between September and May, 7.30pm-9.30pm, at Burnham Methodist Church hall.
