A new range of locally-made chocolate has gone on sale at a Burnham-On-Sea sweet shop this month.
Burnham chocolate maker Melissa Tilson, pictured, has recently launched Chocoholic’s Kitchen and is selling a wide range of unique flavoured chocolates at Bessie’s Sweet Shoppe in the town’s High Street.
“My range includes smoky bacon and pecan chocolate and a chilli and lime – I like to use unusual ingredients that work really well together,” she told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
“I’m a chocoholic myself and I like to experiment with flavours. We have been getting lots of positive feedback so far.”
“The smoky bacon and pecan range is delicious – it gives you a taste of the smokiness works really well with the richness of the pecans.”
Melissa supplies her chocolates to a growing number of local suppliers and is delighted with the uptake so far.
Sue Barber at Bessie’s Sweet Shoppe added: “People are always looking for something different and this range caught our eye while tempting our taste buds! It’s great to have a gourmet range like this made here in Burnham.”
