A Chinese takeaway in Burnham-On-Sea has been given a zero rating in a food hygiene inspection due to damp conditions.
China Garden in Burnham-On-Sea’s Abingdon Street has received the poor rating following an inspection before Christmas. The zero rating means that urgent improvement is necessary.
The Food Standards Agency’s report states that it believed management of food safety was where urgent improvement was necessary.
A spokesperson for China Garden says they have now tackled the issues that were raised in the inspection, which took place on December 12th, 2017.
The take away says that the inspectors arrived during a busy time before Christmas and that there were a few places where damp was identified and has now been addressed. A re-inspection is due this year.
