A sponsored nail painting event was among the many fundraising activities taking place across the Burnham-On-Sea area today (Friday, November 15th) for Children In Need.
Scores of schools and local businesses joined in the annual BBC fundraising marathon, raising thousands of pounds.
Among them were children at Lucy Gunter Dance Centre in Highbridge, who held a number of activities, including a unique fundraising nail painting session (pictured).
Staff at Boots the Chemist in Burnham High Street raised £160 from a tombola and cake stall and thanked customers for their support.
And other groups taking part included Burnham and Highbridge Gateway Club, Mark C of E First School, Burnham’s Fair Start Nursery and Berrow Primary School and Pre-School plus several other scholols in the area.
Children at Mark C of E First School were really excited to be raising money for Children In Need. The School Council held a Pudsey Bear style eye patch design competition and raised £173.47

Children at Berrow Primary School and Pre-School have been selling wrist bands all week for Children In Need. They are also having a toy sale on Friday as well as holding a non-uniform tday. Many of the children chose to come in wearing their pyjamas!
