Rumours of ‘child abduction’ at Burnham store are rejected by police

-

Rumours that a child had been snatched from a Burnham-On-Sea supermarket on Tuesday evening (August 5th) have been rejected by police.

Officers were called to Morrisons in Pier Street when the initial reports came in.

However, a Burnham police spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com that no child had been snatched.

“It was a ‘domestic matter’ that was quickly resolved,” he said after rumours quickly spread about an ‘abduction’ on Facebook.
