Burnham-On-Sea Police called to fatal accident on A371 near Cheddar

Burnham-On-Sea Police were called to a crash in which a motorist died near Cheddar early this morning (Sunday, April 29th).

Police are appealing for witnesses following the early morning collision on the A371 Draycott Road.

A Police spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We are appealing for witnesses following a fatal single-vehicle collision.”

“The incident involved a black BMW and happened shortly before 6am on the A371 Draycott Road.”

“Sadly, the driver, a man in his 30s, died at the scene. His next of kin have been informed and we’re providing them with support.”

“The road remains closed while specialist collision investigators carry out enquiries.”

“If you saw this collision, or have information which could help us, please phone 101 and tell the call handler you are phoning in relation to log 242 of April 29th.”
