Highbridge man appears in court following town stabbing

-

A Highbridge man appeared at Taunton Crown Court on Tuesday (February 1st), charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

Jamie Edney, 34, from Charlotte Place, is alleged to have slashed James Hobb’s throat in an attack on January 15th.

At Tuesday’s hearing, he was remanded in custody. He is due to return to court in late April when he is expected to enter his plea.

Burnham-On-Sea.com reported here how 37 year-old Mr Hobbs had been attacked outside Charlotte Court last month.

Doctors said he was lucky not to have died due to the severity of the knife injuries to his throat.

Police are pictured at the scene of last month’s stabbing outside Charlotte Court in Highbridge
