A man has appeared in court today (Tuesday) in connection with the police investigation into a serious stabbing in Highbridge at the weekend that has left a man in a critical condition.
As first reported here, officers were called to Charlotte Court at just before 5.25pm on Saturday evening when a 37-year-old male suffered serious injuries in a stabbing.
Jamie Edney of Charlotte Court appeared at Taunton Magistrates Court today (Tuesday) charged with wounding with intent to cause GBH.
No further action is to be taken against a woman, aged 25, who was also arrested on Saturday.
As pictured above, crime scene investigators were at Charlotte Court on Monday, carrying out a detailed examination of the scene.
Police told Burnham-On-Sea.com that the victim, who was rushed to Weston General Hospital on Saturday, continues to be in a “stable, but critical condition.”
