Brean Golf Club’s charity day gets into swing

Preparations are well in hand at Brean Golf Club to host a Charity
Golf Day being organised jointly by Round Table, Lions and the Rotary Club. Some 22 teams will take to the greens in serious and not so serious competition on 22nd April.

Prizes will then be awarded at a dinner to be held in The Farmers Tavern on the same evening.

Proceeds will be donated to the Burnham Area Youth (BAY) Centre to help fund the second and final stage of the building extension at the Centre. This is planned to start later this year, the Centre’s 40th Anniversary, at its premises in Cassis Close Burnham.

Di Monaghan of the BAY Centre said: ”We are really grateful to David Haines of Brean Golf Club and Richard House of the Farmer’s Tavern for supporting the work which the Joint Service Clubs have done to help young people in this area.”

Golfers wishing to take part on 22nd April should contact Tim Gibbs of Round Table on 07967961045.
