A charity fete in Burnham-On-Sea has been hailed a success after raising funds and awareness for a local good cause.
A team of local youngsters on the National Citizen Service programme held a fundraising fete in aid of ‘Sensational Kids Somerset’ on Thursday (July 27th).
It was held at the Cassis Close playing fields and moved into the Burnham United Football clubhouse to avoid the inclement weather.
The event provided an afternoon pf fun for all ages with a chance to paint on a mural, buy cakes and treats, play games, win prizes and more.
Sensational Kids Somerset is a support group for children in the Burnham-On-Sea area with additional needs and their families.
It is a fun, social group that provides friendship and new experiences in a safe, controlled and non-judgmental environment to help to build confidence and independence.
It is all about building a community of support and understanding, raising awareness at the same time as empowering children and their families.
The group meets every other Saturday and for more details, email somersetsensationalkids@gmail.com or see them on social media.
