Casino night fundraiser raises £3,200 for Burnham-On-Sea’s BARB

-

A fundraising night has raised more than £3,200 for a Burnham-On-Sea charity.

The casino-themed evening was held in aid of BARB Search & Rescue, which operates two life-saving rescue hovercrafts and inshore rescue boats.

Over 120 supporters of the 25 year-old charity attended the event at the Oaktree in Highbridge, enjoying a gala buffet, Vegas-themed crooner plus show dancers, a magician, auction and a raffle.

The event was kindly sponsored by Burnham’s Retreat Caravan Park, a long-time supporter of BARB.

Co-organiser Craig Dunbar said it had been a great success: “It was a wonderful evening and we are over the moon with the amount raised. BARB is only a small charity so a big amount like this really makes a difference.”

“Everyone at BARB is very grateful for the support and thanks everyone who camne along. A special thank you goes to The Retreat Caravan Park for their generous sponsorship of the evening.”

The organisers Craig Dunbar and Georgia Vowles were thanked for their work in ensuring the event ran so smoothly.
