A sheet metal manufacturing company in Highbridge has this week been given the thumbs-up to expand its premises.
Cases Ltd, based on the Isleport Business Park, fabricates sheet metal to customers’ drawings which are used in various industries.
The firm has submitted a planning application to expand its site to accommodate a new laser cutting machine to further develop its business.
The scheme has been given the go-ahead by town councillors sitting on its Planning Applications Committee.
Cllr Peter Burridge-Clayton said: “We are very happy to support the expansion of this business, which will help to create new local jobs.”
Director Sean Campbell told Burnham-On-Sea.com the company has been “particularly busy” in recent months and the expansion will allow it to further grow. Cases is one of the biggest sheet metal fabricating companies in the region and employs around 50 staff and is currently looking for skilled welders.
