More than 40 trophies which will be presented to the winners of Monday’s 2012 Highbridge and Burnham Carnival have gone on show this week.
The silverware is on display in the window of Scotts Furnishings in Burnham’s Victoria Street, as pictured.
Members of the organising committee have put the cups on display as excitement builds ahead of the big event.
“It promises to be a superb event this year,” Carnival Chairman Phil New told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
“We have 90 entries in total, 50 of which are carts. There are some really excellent carts this year so it will be a superb night’s entertainment.”
The annual spectacle will be held this Monday (November 12th) starting at 7.30pm. The parade will begin in Love Lane as usual near the town’s Tesco supermarket, and will then wend its way along Love Lane, onto Manor Road, before travelling along the High Street and finishing in Marine Drive.
The carnival committee is still appealing for additional programme sellers and collectors on the night. To volunteer, contact John Hodgson on 01278 782527.
