The search is underway to find this year’s Highbridge and Burnham-On-Sea Carnival Queen and Princesses.
Burnham-On-Sea Lions Club has kicked off the annual hunt for this year’s contestants, who will take a leading role in this autumn’s carnival.
The competition is open to girls aged 16 and over for the position of queen, and to youngsters aged 7-15 for the princesses.
All contestants must live within six miles of Highbridge or Burnham and be available on the evening of the Carnival, Monday 12th November.
The Carnival Queen and Princess Selection Evening will be held on Saturday 21st July starting at 6.45pm with judging at 7.15pm at Burnham’s Princess Theatre And Arts Centre.
There will also be an interlude with dancing from Highbridge’s Lucy Gunter Dance and Theatre Arts Centre. Admission will be £4 for adults and £2 for under 16s on the door. Tickets are available from the box office at the Princess.
